and play with the filter, blend modes and opacity settings.
Tutorials are not written in stone but simply a guide.
Do your own thing and most of all have fun.

Open all supplies in PSP (3 tubes 1 mask)
 
Foreground Color - #564b57 - dark
Background Color - #ece4f2 - light
Gradient - Sunburst - Invert  Checked Center H46 V53 Focal H92 V93


 
New Transparent Image 650 x 450
Fill with gradient
Layer Duplicate - Image Mirror - Blend Normal - Opacity 52
On Top Layer - Effects - Plugins - Filters Unlimited 2 - VM Extravanganza - Transmission  settings 6 * 0 * 40

New Raster Layer- Fill with dark color
Layers - New Mask Layer from Image - find mask source luminance checked
With the pick tool (deform tool in PSP 9) - pull so the left hand & bottom edge looks like this
 
 
Merge Group
 
C&P the Kara tube as New Layer - Image resize 120% bicubic - All Layers Unchecked
Blend Mode Normal - Opacity 28
with the pick tool - pull down & over to the left

 
 
 
On Copy of Raster 1 (second layer from the bottom)


Apply Effects - Plugins - Filters Unlimited 2 - VM Natural - Bubble Planet -
 
 
C&P Mariel tube as New Layer (make sure it is on the top layer)
Image - Resize 110% bicubic - All Layers Unchecked
Blend Mode Normal - Opacity 13

With the background eraser - erase the bottom edges of her neck
 
C&P the Aruba tube as New Layer
Image resize 7 times at 90% Bicubic All Layers Unchecked
Place on the right hand side (see completed image for placement suggestions)
Blend Mode Luminance L - Opacity 100
Duplicate setting the Blend Mode to Normal - Opacity 31

If you want to change colors and/or lighten them
Effects - Plugins - Adjust Variations
I played with each of the layers not containing  tubes until happy with the results
 
If satisfied with placement of all the elements - Merge Visible
Edit - Copy

Image Add Borders 40 pixels symmetric with a contrasting color
Select Border with Magic Wand
Paste into Selection (the main image should be on the clipboard)
Adjust - Blur - Motion Blur - Settings Angle 300 - Strength 100
Selections Invert
Promote Selection to Layer
Effects - 3D Effects - Chisel - Size 6 - Transparent
Selections - Modify - Expand 25 pixels
Repeat Chisel (Keep Selected)
Effects - Plugins - Filters Unlimited 2 - Buttons & Frames - Glass Frame 3 - Size 23 - Contrast 188
Deselect & Merge Down

Effects - Plugins - Filters Unlimited 2 - Buttons & Frames - Glass Frame 2 - size 23 - Contrast 128
Effects - Plugins - Xero - Clarity at 36
